A History of Growth | Not all Threads are Created Equal

   Marathon thread was first introduces in 1958 by the Dong-il corporation
  (which is the mother company of Dong-il industrial Co.)              

   In July, 1964 marathon thread earned K.S mark, the industrial standard of Korean
  goverment, for the recognition of quality products.

   In 1969 Dong-il Corporation set up a new finishing mill for mass production of sewing
  thread and covered nearly 80% share of Korean market in the years of 1970^'s  when
  Korean garment industry made a giant progress.

   In October, 1976 Dong-il Inustrial Co. was established as independent
  company  separated for specializing thread business.
  In 1987 after many years of research and development, ding-il Industrial Co. started
  profuving embroidery threads.

   Currently Dong-il Industrial Co. produces more than 1.2 mililon cunes of thread a month  
  and exports to nore than 30 counyties such as U.S.A., Australia, Portugal, Spain,
  Indonesia, argentina, and Canada.
